Patricia Jimenez, E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) has been practicing, studying and teaching yoga since 1985 and was first certified in 2006. She brings a unique, creative flow to her teaching, informed by her lifelong experience in modern dance, collegiate sports, yoga and as a group fitness instructor and PT for 15 years. Her classes combine wisdom from several yoga styles with an emphasis on finding embodied stillness through rhythmic breath, creative and smooth transitions between postures and the fluid pulse and meditative stillness within each Asana (posture) itself. Pat’s yoga studies include over 1000 hours of teacher training seminars including Iyengar, Praja, Ashtanga, Gentle, Restorative, a 225 hour in Hatha Yoga (Iyengar) and most recently, a 225 hour Vinyasa Flow training with Shiva Ray and Micheline Berry.
In addition, Pat’s work integrates her deep understanding of the body through experience with variety of dance styles, Pilates, Alexander technique, National fitness certifications and consistent well rounded athletic experience including USTA tennis and varsity collegiate swimming.
In the 90’s, Pat was a national presenter for ACE (American Council on Exercise) conventions and a continuing education provider for ACE certification renewals. During the same decade, she trained instructors of Bally Health Clubs and Shapes through workshops and seminars. Pat taught fitness as an adjunct faculty member at USF, cardio dance and other originally designed fitness programs for BayCare Health and was the Fitness Director for Harbor Island Athletic Club in the early 90’s. Pat spent 20 years in VP of Sales, National Accounts Manager,and Sales management positions in Information Technology working for Fortune 100 companies and owned a corporate wellness business for 10 years.
Currently full time, Patricia is a Manager of National Accounts for Abbott Laboratories, the Informatics division.Pat is the founder of and was past President for Integrative Consulting Group, LLC.
