Yoga is a practice that combines physical challenge or release, rhythmic movement meditation, breath control and much more. It can be challenging, restorative and often both, depending on the style or level. The meditative quality of rhythmic movement with breath helps students gain a state of personal balance, focus and inner peace. Students of Mind Body Fusion classes are encouraged to explore their own body, mind, and soul and work at their individual level.

Yoga is not a religion. It is often practiced by Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Muslims and other. Yoga is a systematic technology to improve physical health, free the spirit, and improve mental focus. With practice, the restless mind is calmed and controlled yet energy is enhanced and the spirit uplifted. Its philosophy and practice emphasizes good ethics and morals along with mind-emotional balance and intelligence. As science is beginning to validate many claims made by yoga practitioners and therapists, you may question how a tradition dating as far back as the seventh millennium could have arrived at these truths.

Our yoga classes focus on finding a balance between physical strength and flexibility and a balance between over challenging yourself versus being “wimpy.” In addition, within any challenging Asana or Sun Salutation, students learn to find calmness within the challenge.
